You gotta love it when you invest your time, effort and hard earned money in to your own business and it pays off!
It pays off so well that you are in dire need of a second premises. You’ve been putting up with your cramped building which is now overrun with stock and staff and you need to branch out, after all, the more room you have, the more customers (and/or staff) you can get in, right?
You’ve just found the perfect property and it’s only a couple of miles away, on the same stretch of road. What makes it even better is that there is more parking too. You’ve already got all the equipment you need, all the phones, computers, tills, PDQ’s, whatever else your business might require.
The only downside is that there has never been any internet anywhere near that building, no cabling, nadda, ziltch, zip! Usually that would mean arranging for the company who will be providing the service (as in your broadband, telephone lines etc) to install these cables. Unfortunately, the individual who owns the property flat out refuses to sign a Wayleave Agreement, which is needed for the service engineers to gain access to the property to install said cables. Absolutely no reasoning with this individual!
What do you do? The lease is just within budget, there is no other properties big enough in the near vicinity and you really don’t want to have to pay over the odds or keep looking. So you need a solution that gets you that internet… What if we told you that you don’t need these cables, you don’t need this agreement and you can stop annoying your soon-to-be landlord?
Please Welcome, Ubiquiti NanoBeam! *cue applause!*…
Okay, how this works is you have your existing premises that already has the internet and all the trimmings (your modem/router). You then have NanoBeam 1 which is to be plugged in to your LAN/POE that is already plugged in to your modem/ router. Next is you configure and attach the NanoBeams to each of the properties – they must be facing each other and with no obstructions, you can attach them to poles on top of the buildings to avoid any interference. So the NanoBeam at the uncabled property runs through to the interior of the building, where you plug it in to a LAN/POE which then goes in to a wireless access point. Change the settings and bish, bash, bosh, you’re done. This bad boy also works in all weathers, so if there’s a storm, you’ll still be working with no hiccups.
What else is good about NanoBeam?
• 10 – 15km range
• Highly Recommended by both public and business users
• 2 properties = 1 utility bill
