Could Halloween be bad for business?
We are now officially in autumn! even though the weather is still rather mild, there have been a few nippy days and the garden has become littered with copper-colored leaves, You will have also noticed the Halloween decorations in the shops no doubt.
Halloween happens to be one of our favorite times of the year, Sadly for some, this is not the case, rather than a night of spooky fun, it’s a night filled with anxiety and fear, and I don’t just mean just for homeowners.
Every year more and more businesses suffer from Halloween hijynx, For some, it’s a little bit annoying having to clean up the toilet roll teepee or silly string, others may face more serious damages including brake ins.
It seems the harmless fun has become quite the nightmare, with perpetrators becoming more bold or even deadly under the anonymity of a mask or costume.
Other than pulling an all-nighter at work how do you keep an eye on things?
We’re sure you have an alarm system already which is great, this will alert you when a crime is in progress or if you are lucky enough to deter the culprits from proceeding.
Now, what about capturing good footage of the perpetrators? something you can use as evidence against them and also for insurance purposes.
MOBOTIX surveillance systems stand apart with their uncompromisingly reliable, intelligent solutions that can be expanded virtually without limits and which ensure long-term investment security.
Their mission statement to go ‘Beyond Human Vision’ is the heart of a philosophy that recognizes that video surveillance is part of a wider potential with MOBOTIX as a foundational platform for innovative solutions to real-world challenges in manufacturing, retail, healthcare, transportation, and many other areas.
In the “spirit” of all hallows eve the “Beyond Human Vision” maybe something you actually catch on camera.
Ever wondered who keeps knocking that picture off the wall? or why there is paperwork all over the floor first thing when you open up?
Could there be an animal setting off the alarm sensors?
Some Mobotix camera models can be fitted with Thermal sensor lenses to detect thermal readings of all creatures great and small and they are also especially good at indicating fires.
If all your trouble is down to a cat that keeps sneaking in and setting off the alarm, Then the sensor will pick up the heat signature even if you can’t see the pesky feline.
On a more serious note if a fire brakes out or has the potential to break out ( the plug extension in the corner of the room is giving off quite the heat signature ) the thermal sensor will spot it.
Ok, it’s not man nor beast, how about something? Proof of the paranormal!
A. you can sell tickets to spend the night in a haunted building (Bring in most haunted!)
and B. you can stop blaming the staff for moving things and slamming doors after they have left for the night.
Have a look at what this workplace caught on camera…
What do you think? Elaborate prank? or the real deal?
